Luxury shower added to existing bathroom
This project required alterations to both plumbing and heating systems. The customer's large bathroom contained good quality sanitary ware but the fittings were old and tired and their small leaking shower cabinet needed replacing. Our brief was to provide a spacious shower enclosure with a modern shower system and to give the sanitary ware a new lease of life.
What we did
We repositioned the toilet to create room for the new shower and some additional storage space. We constructed new partition walls around the 1400mm by 900mm shower tray and fitted a large pivot door to ensure good access. Additional towel rails were fitted close to the shower and the bath, with one connected to the Aga and the other to the heating system. The bathroom already had His and Hers basins and these were retained in the new layout. New tiling over the bath and behind the basins plus new taps, waste fittings and a new w.c. seat completed the transformation.
